Jumping
off point for Baxter Pass (12,320') You may prefer to
drive to roads end to start your hike. There is an old
unmaintained picnic ground at the end of the road. |

upper campgrounds are more secluded and amenable to group
camping. Road to them is not passable by for trailers. |
